Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyaggulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine along with 36 others, have on Tuesday, August 6, appeared at Gulu High court.

The legislator along with 36 other suspects are accused of stoning and smashing the windscreen of one of the presidential cars on August 13, 2018, during the Arua Municipality campaign by-election.

Today the suspects are appearing in court and according to Bobi Wine, the case is ridiculous.

“Appearing at Gulu High Court with colleague suspects in regard to the ridiculous charges of treason & annoying Gen. Museveni”, bobi wine posted on Facebook.

“Meanwhile, in another ridiculous attempt to have the 37 of us framed over Arua, the state has brought a fresh charge against us! They are still cooking more charges because they are scared, but this will come to an end,” he posted.

“What offence? That we annoyed, alarmed and ridiculed the person of President Museveni!” questioned in a Facebook posted he made.

He added that the government and the police should be embarrassed by the Arua incident because they have told enough lies to the public.

If found guilty the legislator is to face more than 10 years in prison.
