State Minister for Internal Affairs Obiga Mario Kania has said that Kyadondo County East MP Robert Kyagulanyi will soon be summoned to the CID headquarters to make a statement.

Appearing before Parliament on Wednesday, Mr Kania was tasked by MPs to state the charges against Mr Kyagulanyi and to detain him in the lawful detention structures in case he has a crime.

Minister Kania reiterated that “Police says Hon Kyagulanyi has committed some crimes and has been summoned to make a statement at the CID offices either today or tomorrow”.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Ms Betty Aol Ocan, said she is shocked by the Police heavy deployment around Bobi Wine’s home in Magere, Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso District.

While visiting the legislator on Wednesday, Ms Ocan called upon all MPs to stand with Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine said: “I am under illegal detention in my house. We are going to act on this lawfully by demonstrating peacefully. Nobody is free in this country, there are people going through worse.”

The Kyadondo east legislator has been under house detention for attempting to go to police to deliver a letter to the IGP on why his music concerts were blocked.
