The issue of blockage of Bobi wine’s show has been tabled on the floor of Parliament and the members started discussing it, this has come after events promoters in a company of several artistes have Thursday afternoon petitioned the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga over ‘unfair’ guidelines that have been issued ahead of the festive season.
The events’ organizers also petitioned to the speaker the repeated blockage on music events involving singer Bobi Wine.
The Musicians and promoters led by Ronald Mayinja, Abbey Musinguzi, Moses Kayemba, Tonny Ssempijja among others told the Speaker that Police has made it a habit to simply cancel all concerts where Bobi Wine is scheduled to perform.
Speaking at the floor of Parliament honourable Kyagulanyi explained to the Parliament how the police have on several occasions blocked his shows.
It is noted that the speaker tasked the prime minister to explain why the government and the police are blocking the legislator’s shows
During today’s parliamentary session the prime minister disappeared in thin air leaving the minister of internal affairs honourable Jeje Odongo to read the government statement on Kyagulanyi’s issue
