President Museveni recently urged the public to join in the fight against corruption, and challenged them to expose and report all those officials who engage in the vice but with no time a bribe incident which involved the minister of foreign affairs Sam Kuteesa where he received 500, 000 dollars from Chinese tycoon Patrick Ho Ching-Bin. The president came out and said that the minister told him that the money was just a donation to a charity organization not a bribe as it alleged.
According to the President, Kuteesa explained to him that the money was not a bribe but it was supposed to be a contribution to a Charity organization.
President Museveni made the remarks during an interaction with the media after he had launched a Special State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
But the bush war general directed the attorney general of government to investigate into the matter concerning the minster.
