Unity FM in Lira remains closed with staff detained at Lira CPS as other radio stations ordered not report on the events that led to the murder of an 11 year old by investors. The move is to avert any likely tension that might erupt with fear of escalating violence.

Lira RDC Milton Odong says they are investigating different media houses for inciting violence. The situation is however returning to normality with Indians asked to return to business.

Remember we had earlier on reported that the minister of state for internal affairs said that the radio station broadcasted what is called ‘irresponsible messages’ that were intended to incite the public against the Indian community and security forces.
